VAT registration
Value-Added Tax is commonly known as VAT. Any person that carries on business may register for VAT. The term person is not only limited to companies but also includes, individuals, partnerships, trust funds, foreign donor-funded projects and municipalities.
It is required to submit VAT returns and make payments of the VAT liabilities (or claim a VAT refund) Many companies failing with submitting their VAT return as the documents are incomplete and the supporting documents are nor correct.
The following facts and aspects need to be understood to start with the registration process for VAT:
- The directors need to be identical 100% with their names
- All other objects or entities the directors are involved need to be 100% compliant.
- All the various tax payments of the company or individual need to be done.
If all of the above is done, you are ready with the VAT registration process.
The following documents will be required.
- Certified copies of ID’s of all Directors / Trustees.
- Proof of Address of all Directors / Trustees.
- Proof of Address of the Entity
- Latest company registration documents of a Company or Closed Corporation or the Trust deed of a Trust.
